Danny_M.jpgDaniel McLean- Co-Chair

Daniel is originally from Carlow and arrived in New York in April 2011. He currently works as a Project Manager on construction projects in Manhattan for Healthcare clients such as New York Presbyterian Hospital and NYU Medical Center. Daniel holds a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology and has worked extensively in Europe and the UK before moving to New York.

As a long time member of IN-NYC he is passionate about growing the network for existing established members and also making it a first point of contact for new arrivals to NYC as it was for him almost five years ago when it was a reference point for employment contacts, immigration advice and new friends to share a social drink.

Over the past year Daniel served on the IN-NYC 2015 committee and enjoyed organizing event for our members including an immigration night in conjunction with Irish Central and Lorcan Shannon, A charity table quiz in aid of Pieta House and a Charity Soccer Tournament in aid of Shannon Gaels Field of Dreams.

 Lorcan Shannon- Co-Chair

LorcanLorcan_Shannon.jpg Shannon, from Doolin in Co. Clare, moved to the U.S. in 2008.  After graduating from National University of Ireland, Galway, Lorcan pursued a Master’s of Laws at Duke University School of Law in North Carolina.Lorcan has practiced immigration law for six years, beginning his career as an intern at Senator Ted Kennedy’s Office in Boston.  In 2015, Lorcan launched the Law Offices of Lorcan Shannon, a full service immigration firm, he also serves as immigration counsel for John Murphy & Associates.Lorcan is an active member of the Irish community in New York and has previously served as Vice Chairperson for IN-NYC.

Gavin Manley- Treasurer

Originally from Cabinteely in Dublin, branding and advertising professional Gavin Manley is currently managing Director at CoolGraySeven, a New York based creative agency with clients across a wide range of different industry sectors. Gavin began his career atGavin_Manley.jpg the National Museum of Ireland where he was responsible for PR and marketing for the three Dublin branches of this storied cultural institution. He moved to New York City in 2004 to pursue a career in advertising. Over the past 12 years he has held a number of different marketing and business development roles at agencies including Red Peak Group, Laird + Partners, and AR New York. Gavin holds a BA from University College Dublin and postgraduate qualifications in arts, business and marketing from NUI Maynooth and The Marketing Institute.

Gavin looks forward to bringing his knowledge of Irish Culture and marketing experience to attract new members and constitute to make the Irish Network an enjoyable and enriching experience for members.

Margaret Cardosi- Co-Secretary

Maggie CarMargaret_Cardosi.jpgdosi is Eastern Regional Representative for University College Dublin’s North America Global Center.

Based in New York City, Maggie promotes UCD’s programs and the benefits of Irish education to students and their families across the United States and Canada, along with helping to strengthen institutional partnerships between UCD and American universities.

Maggie received her undergraduate degree in English and History from Xavier University in 2010 completed a Masters degree in Irish and Irish-American studies at NYU in 2015.   Before joining UCD in January 2014, Maggie worked with the Irish Business Organization of New York, as well as the NYU Glucksman Ireland House.



Jillian Saperstein- Co-Secretary

Jillian is a born and bred New Yorker with a love of all things city. An active member of the 2014 and 2015 boards, this past year she was responsible for answering all emails sent to the IN NYC accounts, sending out the e-newsletter, and helped Jillian_2016.jpgwith the transition to the new communications system.

As Senior Development Officer at Concern Worldwide, Jillian has considerable experience working with people with a wide range of needs and interests, and loves acting as an ambassador for the Irish network as she makes her way around town. Jillian attends as many events as possible throughout the year, and is always helping to spread the word about IN-NYC and get more people involved and signed up as members.

She is very excited to continue her tenure as a member of the Board.

Caroline Donnelly

Caroline is originally from Dublin and has been living in New York since September 2014 working for Enterprise Ireland North America, the government of Ireland trade agency responsible for supporting Irish companies who export interCaroline_Donnelly.jpgnationally.

In this role Caroline works with indigenous Irish companies assisting them develop their brand and presence in the United States across construction, sustainable buildings, technology solutions and consumer goods.

Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland Caroline spent five years working in London as a Town Planning Officer for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. In this role, Caroline worked on the assessment of planning applications for design and development proposals within the built environment and also on the enforcement of planning control within the Borough.

Caroline graduated from the Dublin

Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Spatial Planning in 2008 and with a First Class Honours Master of Science in Business and Entrepreneurship in 2014.

Kathleen Feeney

Kathleen is grew up in Connecticut and her great-grandparents are from Ireland.  She attended Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT for high school and later became their Director of Alumnae Relations.  She was also Associate Director of Alumni Relations at Fairfield University where she attended college.Kathleen_feeney.jpg

Kathleen is currently the Alumni Director and the Girls Varsity Lacrosse coach at The Dalton School on the upper east side of NYC.

Kathleen is excited to be joining for the Irish Network NYC Committee and looking forward to helping in any way she can!


Sorcha Kelly

Sorcha, originally from Co. Donegal, moved to New York in March 2014. She currently works for Lenox Consulting and Irish Network USA.   Earning an honors degree from Dublin Institute of Technology, in Event ManagemSorcha_Kelly.jpgent, Sorcha specialized in Marketing, Communications and Strategic Management. While completing her degree, she spent an Erasmus (Semester Abroad) in Vienna, Austria, studying at the prestigious Modul University.

Having spent a summer in San Francisco and benefiting from the work of IN Bay Area, she was enthusiastic to remain part of an Irish community abroad which spurred her involvement with IN USA on relocation to New York.


Caroline O’Byrne

Caroline_OByrne.jpgCaroline, was born in Queens, New York, but returned to Ireland, aged 8, where she lived up until her return to New York City last year. Before that, Caroline completed a degree in Law with Economics in University College Dublin, working for some time in one of Dublin’s law firms dealing majorly in Corporate law.

Caroline now works in another affiliated Irish-American commercial litigation firm, John Murphy & Associates, whilst simultaneously studying for the New York bar this year. An active member in charitable organizations during her collegiate years, volunteering in Dehli with UCDVO and other Irish Networks on her return to New York.

Caroline hopes to continue her involvement in both charitable and other dynamic organizations such as IN-NYC, in the hopes to expand the network of IN-NYC, to demonstrate and highlight what a beneficial network and outlet IN-NYC is, especially for those just having arrived as regards connections, advice and simply a friendly face.

Caroline Regan

Caroline Regan was born and grew up on a farm in Co.Roscommon. Caroline moved to NYC to start her career that has spanned 20 years in the Beauty and Health industry.

FueleCaroline.pngd with her interest for health and fitness, Caroline returned to Ireland to introduce an American based franchise to Dublin. This period in Ireland also lead to her involvement in a number of health and beauty related start-ups. She currently is working on a new start up whilst working for a premier cosmetic company in NYC.

Her passions are Golf, Horse Racing, GAA. Caroline also is happy assist Companies break into the US market,  as well as Fashion, Arts Culture & Emigration.

When she returned to the US after selling her Company in Ireland , Caroline found the INNYC and other networking groups she is a member of invaluable. She was honored to be elected to the Board in 2015, and is excited for another great year.

Chris Tully

Chris Tully is the oldest of two children born to Philomena and the late Peter Tully. His parents both immigrated from Ireland, his mother is originally from County Roscommon and his Father was from County Meath. He was recently re-elected to his third term as Councilman in his hometown of Bergenfield, NJ.

DuriChris_Tully.jpgng his time on the governing body he has served as the Finance Chairman and helped guide the borough to cut the municipal debt in half. Bergenfield’s recent progress has been recognized by numerous publications as one of the state’s safest communities and as one of the best places to raise a family.

Prior to serving in elected office, Chris served as an aide to Senator Frank Lautenberg, Governor Richard Codey, and former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle. He is a cum laude graduate of Northeastern University.

Mairead Tully

Mairead Tully was born and raised in Queens, New York and her father hails from the Red Hills/Ballyhaise area of Co. Cavan.  Mairead is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  During her tenure she was an active participant and board member of several stuMairead.jpgdent organizations including the school Newspaper and the Emerald Society. Mairead has been an active member for the Cavan P & B Association (founded in 1848) for the past 19 years where she has sat on the Executive Board as the Financial Secretary and the PRO.

Over the years she has sat on several committees including the Annual Golf Outing and Annual Dance committee. After graduating college, Mairead started her career in the Insurance Industry as a claims adjuster but found the work unfulfilling, a career change was in order.  With her fond memories of working on the school newspaper and her love of Irish Culture, she incorporated the two by joining the staff at the Irish Echo Newspaper.  As the advertising and Events Director Mairead has been an integral part in the setup of several successful annual events. Mairead joined the IN-NYC board in 2015 and she looks forward to continuing her work with the IN-NYC family.
